At Trans World Travel, Inc., we are specialists in group travel. Founded by Andrew P. Gibbs in 1947, his vision for TWT (formerly Gibbs Student Tours, Inc.) was student tours to destinations such as Washington D.C. and senior class trips to destinations such as Hawaii, Mexico etc. In 1963 the second generation took over TWT, John W. Gibbs - President, & James M. Gibbs - Vice President. Identical twins who had their own vision for the future of TWT and rebranding Gibbs Student Tours, Inc. as Trans World Travel, Inc. was their first priority. Shortly after John & Jim took the reins, they began to take group travel almost exclusively international. Their vision continues to this day, sending groups all over the world in the luxury and style in which our groups have become accustomed to with TWT. Alongside John & Jim, their wives, Sharon Gibbs (John’s wife) International Operations Manager, and Judith Gibbs (Jim’s wife) North American Operations Manager have respectively contributed in key roles to the longstanding success of TWT.
